Coaching vs. Therapy

Mental Health Coaching focuses on helping individuals achieve specific goals, improve performance in certain areas of their lives and places a heavy emphasis on moving forward.  Coaching is action oriented.

Psychotherapy focuses on addressing mental health concerns (with possible diagnoses), processing past experiences and how they have shaped one’s life and works toward resolving conflict in relationships.  Therapy is insight oriented.
